RECTANGLE LINEN THROW

Each linen throw is hand-dyed in indigo using the Japanese Shibori technique Itajime to create the pattern.

Itajime is a shaped-resist technique. The cloth is sandwiched between two acrylic shapes and then held in place with clamps. The shapes prevent the indigo from penetrating the fabric, they act as the resist.

Size is approx. 80" length by 52" width.

Recommend machine wash cold separately with mild soap, tumble dry low or hang dry. Iron on linen setting. See FAQ page for more information.

Each item is constructed by hand in my Beacon studio. As with any handmade item pieces have slight inconsistencies, variations in color and texture are intentional - I love that this makes every item unique.

Proudly sewn and dyed in Beacon, NY located in the Hudson Valley.
Wear often, repair if possible, pass on or recycle when no longer loved.
