DOILY THROW #2

The Doily Throw in linen features stenciled doilies using clay that acts as the resist. The linen is then dipped in indigo. I used paper doilies as my stencils, the same often used as placemats for desserts. This linen throw is perfect for tossing over a chair, using as a picnic blanket, or displaying cakes and pies on a table.

Size is approx. 75" length by 52" width. Only one was made.

Recommend machine wash cold separately with mild soap, tumble dry low or hang dry. Iron on linen setting. See the FAQ page for more information.

Each item is constructed by hand in my Beacon studio. As with any handmade item, pieces have slight inconsistencies, and variations in color and texture are intentional - I love that this makes every item unique.

Wear often, repair if possible, pass on or recycle when no longer loved.
